What is the standard track size for a HO Model Train?
I have been given a size HO model train as a birthday present and I would like to build a model railroad in my garden. I am a newbie and I want to start buying materials but I have no idea what size track to buy. I would like to know what is the standard size track for a size HO model train?

How do I convert a Model train locomotive to a dummy unit?
i have a HO scale locomotive and the engine wont work. I want to convert it to a dummy. It is a steam engine. I removed the engine, but its wheels don’t turn like a dummy units, and my working engines can pull it. so how do i do it, the CORRECT way?

But, in order to get it to roll like a dummy unit, besides removing the motor, you’d also have to remove the gears from inside the gear box. At the very least, remove the worm gear. What do I need to do to select the right coupler for my trains? How do I convert a Model train locomotive to a dummy unit?
i have a HO scale locomotive and the engine wont work. I want to convert it to a dummy. It is a steam engine. I removed the engine, but its wheels don’t turn like a dummy units, and my working engines can pull it. so how do i do it, the CORRECT way?

How do you clean model train track?
I just got lots of used track that I am using for a large digital layout that is really dirty. How should I do it?
Answer If it dusty, use compressed air to blow off the dust. If the tracks have a build up on them, I have used an eraser to remove it, and a q-tip with alcohol to remove the stuff from the tight areas.
