These are the tools and resources we use and recommend you use:

  • Domain Name – buying a domain name, which is the modeltrainsforbeginners.com part of the url http://modeltrainsforbeginners.com/ should be a simple procedure and we use and recommend Namecheap for this.   • Hosting – good hosting is critical. Hosting is where all the files are stored for your website and should be scaleable for large volumes of traffic. Hostgator is the hosting provider we use and recommend because of their great 24/7 support and great pricing.   • Autoresponder – email marketing is very effective, but it is very important to use an autoresponder with a high deliverability rate. We use and recommend Aweber as they are a very well established business with great training and support. When you have spent money and time building a sizeable list of prospects, a high deliverability rate is essential when you click that send button.   • Keyword Tool – you can use the Google keyword tool but you will only get a small portion of the whole picture. We use and recommend Market Samurai because it provides a great filtration feature that allows you to research much more deeply and explore the commercial value of keywords. Commercial value is a calculation of whether people actually buy after searching the keyword phrase. It also analyzes the competition and tells you which of their pages are ranking, how many backlinks they have, how optimized their page is, domain age and more.   • WordPress Blog Theme, Squeeze Page & Sales Page Creator – we use and highly recommend OptimizePress. This is a theme that you apply to a WordPress blog and it creates simple but effective squeeze pages like our newsletter squeeze page or the mistakes report squeeze page or our affiliate registration page. It has many different templates and is easily customizable. It not only builds squeeze pages, but also blogs like this one and sales pages like this one. It is a WordPress theme that is supported very well, has numerous functions and is optimized for search engines… But, the best part are the detailed how-to videos and member forum.   • Premium WordPress Themes – if you are looking for a professional and polished WordPress theme, then we recommend Woo Premium Themes. They have a large variety of themes and most of them don’t even look like blog themes, but give you the same amazing functionality.     Are we able to get access to the Newsletter Squeeze page or the Mistakes Report Squeeze page for our sites, or do we need to create our own?

      Hi Gretchen, as an affiliate of “Model Trains For Beginners” you can use any of the copy, images, styles, etc. you find on the site and not breach copyright. However you can’t use our copy, images, styles, etc and then promote a competitors product (on your site or autoresponder). If you do, you will violate our copyright and then we will have to send one of those friendly emails that say stop… I’m sure you will agree that is fair considering the effort we are putting in to help you. So, yes you can take whatever you want on those squeeze pages (if you want to create your own), but as explained they are created using a WordPress blog with the OptimizePress theme which gives you the slick look. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of setting up a WordPress blog and investing in OptimizePress then we will create one for you on our servers and use your autoresponder code or our own. Let me know if you need further clarification.
